This book is excellent if you need enough problems to score well in Engineering exams. It has a large number of problems from different universities.

However, if you really want to understand the concepts well, I would suggest looking at books which handle that particular topic in math separately. For example, if you are interested in Matrices and Determinants, study a book on Linear Algebra.

This is a good book that has everything in one place and I'll give it a 4/5 for that. One more star...

Engg Mathematics by Grewal is a very helpful book throughout your B.Tech/B.E. The author really did a commendable job. Not only does it help you to pass exams, but also it increases your interest in mathematics.

I have used this book previously and its precise in covering the important topics. Use it along with other text books like H.K.Dass etc and serve u better, but practice more problems if you want to prosper

Writing this review after 4 months of intense use..
The book is really heavy and it totally fulfilled my need for dumbles. I also use it for pressing(like ironing) my clothes. Once I opened the book and figured that you fall asleep by just looking into it.. recommended for every engineering student.

Contains the topics required for all 4 sems both for 2006 as well as 2010 scheme and even for M.tech students.. Trust me friends, All questions appeared in VTU exams are either the worked examples or the exercise problems of this book
