The film is directed by Imtiaz Ali and stars Randeep Hooda and Alia Bhatt who has also acted in Karan Johar’s hit film Student of the Year. Composed by 2-time Grammy Award-winner A. R. Rahman, the lyrics of this release were mostly written by Irshad Kamil and marvelous singers such as 3-time Filmfare Award-winner Sunidhi Chauhan, Jonita Gandhi, Suvi Suresh, Shweta Pandit and Sultan Nooran have voiced these lyrics.

Great album! A R Rahman is back.
Great album. Worth the price. Its a mix of peppy, catchy numbers and spiritual ones. Heera and Tu Kuja are wonderful songs with a soothing vibe about them. Heera is actually a collection of Kabir dohas made in to a song. Turned out to be a great song. I wonder whose idea it was, Irshad Kamil's or Imtiaz's. I prefer Patakha Gudi's male version to the female one because of its rawness and the fusion element.

Great songs
Alia Bhatt's voice was surprisingly refreshing. Very hip songs and good for drives.
Sooha Saaha, Kahaan Hoon Main followed by Pattakka Guddi are my favourites in that order.
