This is an excellent Hard Drive to switch over too. The SATA 6Gb/s speed is easily recognizable. Heats up lesser than other hard drives in this range. Copy speeds significantly higher.

I needed to replace my Internal HDD of My DELL XPS, I was looking only for a 7200 RPM Drive. (currently the Laptop had seagate 7200 rpm drive) And since Seagate didnt sell any 7200 RPM drive with higher capacity currently, i was dissapointed.

But to my amazement, I came through this drive HGST( A Western digital company), So I had faith. VERY GOOD Delivery (2 days).

I also checked the SMART status and warranty of this drive. Completely NEW and warranty of 3 years.. Awesome!!!!

Works well, fast and not noisy. However ever since I replaced my macbook pro hHD with this one, it started overheating all the time. Don't know if the two are connected in any way.

I am using this Hard Disk for past 6 months. This is really awesome. As i am not a big techie guy, i just said my view/opinion.

WORST PACKING FOR A HARD DRIVE!!!!
PAST TWO MONTHS ....NO COMPLAINTS!! WORKS EQUALLY GOOD AS THE LAST ONE!!
50-50 SATISFIED!...FOR DELL XPS 520 ....THOUGHT THIS DRIVE WOULD BOOST UP MY START UP....BUT AFTER THE OS BIENG LOADED WITH HEAVY PROGRAMS ....LIKE SOLID WORKS,CREO....ETC...THE START UP IS NOW SLOWER THEN IT WAS WHEN INSTALLED!
OVERALL 8 OF 10!!!

Cheapest but not bad at all , I was using the same HDD in my laptop since 2007,
No major problem till now , showing only 0.3 % error in Hard Disk Sentinel Software.
But it vibrates a lot , you will want to mount it on a anti vibration washer/pads.
Hope this one lasts that long too.
