Good original product. I checked the serial no on the product at the Hitachi website. It was genuine and had a 3 years valid warranty. Hitachi HDD is the only available brand in India with 3 years warranty, all others provide a 1-2 years warranty (at the moment of writing this revew). The HDD fits seamlessly to any laptop, i tried with three different laptops of different brands including one Acer netbook.
