The gameplay of Blood Money depends on how well you use stealth in the game. As a player, you will be rewarded more points for careful planning and finishing your objectives using stealth. The new improvements in the game include Agent 47’s use of targets as human shields. This is very effective in a complex situation where you can grab a nearby enemy and successfully complete your objective. A new feature called the notoriety system has been added to the game. In this system if you are caught on a CCTV cameras or any other activity that involves your recognition, the notoriety meter goes up. The more you get noticed, the harder it is to kill the boss as enemies keep converging onto your travel route.
Many features have been tweaked including an improved body hiding mechanism. While playing Blood Money, you can now get the target unconscious and hide the person in barrels and even on top of elevators. Every target you kill will be displayed as a newspaper story in the next day’s newspaper.
