The carcass of this storage unit is made with a flat-pressed particle board where the chips are mainly parallel to the surface. The chips in the surface layer are thinner than those in the middle layer, so the surface of the particleboard is denser. It is resistant to termite and wood borers. This structure is pre-laminated on both sides in plain/woodgrain colours to protect it from heat, scratches, moisture, stains etc. This helps to enhance looks & helping to increase durability. All panels which are exposed to air is edged with PVC banding on four sides to avoid contact with water, moisture and insects. This helps to improve durability. They are also pretreated with industry-standard chemical composition thereby making the core resistant to termite, borer and other mites. The particleboard used is certified European Emission standard E2 grade, thereby its certified safe for indoor furniture application. The unit has open shelves for multi-purpose utility.
