    Description
Though he has gotten used to his salary and his job at Grant Motors, Sarvesh still finds himself waking up in the middle of the night, his heart pounding with the excitement of a Neo-Racing dream. The technologically advanced cars and the smell of the burnt rubber of the tyres haunt him all the time. When Neo-racing creates space for a team from India, Sarvesh is determined to be a part of it. Tagging along as a non-description member of another giant team is not going to suffice. Along with his best friend Rags, he is determined to lead his own team on to Neo-racing race circuits. Naaz is an orphan who has been raised in a garage and has never studied beyond the fourth grade. She has taught herself all that she knows about cars by working alongside sweaty mechanics. This knowledge allows her to deduce in three seconds that the car design created by Sarvesh and Rags will not qualify for New-Racing. Friendship is tested, loyalties are questioned and spirits are broken in this challenging race to achieve an impossible dream.

    About the Author
If you meet her, she will greet you with a smile and make you feel like you have known her all your life. Yet, she prefers the solitude of the mountains and escapes to them often with her husband and two kids. Surrounded by whispering winds and the pitter patter of the paws of her St. Bernard and Cocker Spaniel she weaves stories with her words. A criminologist by qualification, an entrepreneur by profession and a writer at heart, her twitter profile (@DeSueno) describes her the best I giggle, I smile, I dream a while. I love, I write, I tell tales all the while.

    Unputdownable!

Simply unputdownable, this book has you experiencing a life time of emotions in one day flat (or however long you take to finish it). You will find yourself abusing the characters for their weakness, loving them when they showed some spirit; You will cheer for them from the stands, shudder when things go wrong and laugh with sheer happiness when everything falls in place.

True, it has those few cliches, it has twists too many. But you will hardly notice them for the characters are so real, ...

Impressive and daring; a book that makes you want to dream big again

It’s been a while since I read a book that could keep me engrossed enough to stay up all night, but Horseshoe Garage was a perfect read. It captures your attention from the very first page; it is engrossing and engaging without being over the top, and was particularly notable for the attention given to smaller details that adds such depth to each character. The result is a fabulously original story that unfolds right in front of your eyes like a beautifully directed movie.
    Horseshoe Garage is...

Keeps you hooked until you read it all!!

I had to wait for long to lay my hands upon the copy of 'Horseshoe Garage' but receiving the autographed copy from the author made up for it.

However, it still took me some time before I could finally start reading this. And once I started, I could only put it back 6 hours later having finished it entirely. While first few pages started out slow building up the characters, but very soon it goes full steam as other characters are introduced. And these characters bring their own unique colors...

    From the spectator cockpit

It starts with a dream. Like everything does. When you pick it up, it first amazes you how every damn character is so real. It then moves on to take you into the world of Sarvesh Kulkarni. The world of Neo racing, cars and a dream so ethereal you tend to give up on it till it stares you in the face. And then it drags you to the streets tyrading you eventually into the stands and then into the cockpit . You watch as the cars roll in, one of them your own. And standing by that car, stands a gir...

wooshes into a road less travelled by

Topic like the one Hitesha chose for Horseshoe Garage is rarely seen in Indian writing. Typified love stories, woes about corruption, history, communal structures, blah blah blah is not what it is about, and we have seen many of those (at least, I have). What it has is bromance, romance (just a minor detail), 'never say die' attitude, competitive spirit and passion (errr... not the sensual type). It's a story that young at heart, competitive, goal-oriented and aspiring kind of people would lo...

    Women and cars? :O

Fortunately with a name like Hitesha I thought the author was a man till I read the author bio, which was thankfully AFTER I had finished reading the book. I am biased enough to think that women cant write about cars and Kam's version of the engine being eeewwyy yucky gray things restored my faith in women ;)

The book is not just about cars... mind you, it has some awesome techy info which with a little google can help you design your own weird looking four wheeler. I felt Sav was the hero i...

Not a great novel. Okay for passing time.

A lot of eye-rolling and hugging. And a blatant lack of common sense.

The story lacks consistency & editing. It's longer than it should have been and the plot is unimaginative. The story keeps on gaining pace throughout the novel. That would have been a complement had it not ended up feeling as if the later parts were finished up too hurriedly.

The characters are also pretty unrealistic too.

All that said, it's not a terrible read. The language is decent. It is a feel good novel.

If you are a dreamer..grab this book

Before I write anything about the book , I congratulate Hitesha for writing such an entertainer.
From page 1 to page 389, this book keeps your eyes glued to it.Personally I am not a person who would have ever wanted to read a novel about cars and races and stuff..but Horshoe garage changes the concept of little or no interest in cars when you meet NAAZ.Naaz makes you fall in love with her simplicity, intelligence and above all her passion for cars. She is a woman who can never give up no matte...

    A much needed breather

Despite being a woman and a girl at heart all the mushy stories online are kind of beginning to make me feel a little queasy. Horseshoe Garage comes as a breather from the overwhelmingly mindless romantic stories.

This books is about a dream and efforts to realize this dream. It is about races and expectations. It is about the will to stand tall and proud despite the numerous hurdles in your way.

I love the character descriptions and their heartfelt emotions. Though the race is fictional t...
