A Must Have. Acts as a Double Protection.

As usual I am NOT disappointed with the service and delivery of this filter. Ordered the product on the 5th March'13 and received it within 24 hours. Once again kudos to the exceptional service and product delivery. Thank you Flipkart.com.

For the filter. It's WYSIWYG :-) (What you see is what you get) and it is worth to blindly go for this one.

      - This filter serves the purpose for what it was made.
      - It protects from any excess sun rays passing through your lens aperture and hitting the se...

      Protection for the 50mm f/1.8

Though not essential due to the recessed lens glass i thought it better to have one in place. Bought these after the images captured with a no-name UV Filter that came with the lens were terrible. Being a UV(c) filter these were also thinner and lighter than the other filters.

have not played with the camera since i fitted this but the photos i have clicked do not show any degradation in quality before and after the filter are in place.

Have purchased two of the 58mm filters for the 18-55mm...

      Great Filter

It is a wise initial investment and protects your valuable investment from dust, moisture and scratches, which can lead to costly repairs. It is multicoated to minimize reflection at the filter surfaces which reduces flare and ghosting.

Good choice for digital photography If desired it can be left on the lens at all times for protection.

It does the job of not interfering with image quality fairly well, provided you're using it in a well lit environment. In low light, it's another story: ...

      Very Good Product

The glass is absolutely clean and of top quality.
I keep it on all the time in my Nikon D3100, there is no degradation in picture quality as compared to the without filter picture.
I got it from flipkart at Rs 775.

      A filter cum lens protecter

I know that in a film camera the UV filter prevents excess blueness of the film image.

In a digital camera with almost every parameter under digital in-camera manipulation, I DON'T THINK THERE IS AN OPTICAL NEED for this.
I bought it purely for MECHANICAL PROTECTION of the front element of my Nikon 35 mm f 1.8 G lens from the impact of dust, dirt and moisture. And thus prevent the lens front element from getting dirty and scratched.

Windy & wet drizzling vacation spots are notoriously dam...

      Good Quality UV filter

I mainly bought this filter for protection for my D5100. Quality of the product is best for this price. You can be sure that you won't get any quality degradation in your final image, by using this filter. I have my filter attached to the lens always. You can also use the default lens cap with this filter. But, sometimes its a bit hard to remove the filter; it may be because of over tightening. Other than that this is a good UV filter.
