Laptop replaced for a brand new sealed box by Flipkart, within 2 days - which is great!
I have installed Windows 7 on this laptop now and its running perfect. HP site don't have the drivers for Win7, so you have to get the Win7 drivers for the model "HP ProBook 4540s Notebook" (as was suggested on HP forum) and most of the drivers will work. For the remaining, connect to internet -> go to device manager -> select the devices for which the drivers were not installed -> Update...
