For this price, you get a laptop that manages all routine applications reliably and always runs quietly while doing so. Even the battery life is good enough to last for 4-5 hrs after full charge. As in most low-budget laptops, you have to live with average screen but the screen resolution in this laptop seems to be quite decent. If you are currently looking for a budget laptop with good configuration HP Compaq is surely a choice.

I have installed Ubuntu and it works just fine.
The laptop as such is nice, well spread out keyboard.
The outer is very plastiky and feels flimsy. The outer edges of the laptop are not smooth, in some places the edges are sharp, HP products are supposed to be well designed for day to day use with soft edges, this one is not.
Overall i am happy with the product.

Very good LED screen; more than 3 hrs power back up; 4 GB RAM; Fast processor ; all these at a reasonable price. Using Windows 8.1 and performance is excellent !!

Its my second compaq laptop.Its good laptop for all basic functionalities....But ound system is normal.Compaq CQ40 has better sound than this..Other that everything is good in this laptop..

I searching all branded laptop with well configuration with low price then I found it on flipkart in amazing price only 26,401 Rs with Hp branded laptop backpack.
Now I am using it for 2 months in both Windows 8 & Ubuntu 14.4 and i found some advantage & disadvantage of this product which are -
Its good in some parts like :
1.advance CD ROM,
2.4GB RAM with 1600MHz speed,[good performance].
3.Processor speed is satisfiable as i3 3rd Gen with 2.4GHz.[throughput is good]

A decent but outdated build!

Considering all the new 4th gens are already out in the market since last year and this laptop released in march 2014 has a 3rd gen, seems disappointing.

Intel HD 4000 graphics is quite satisfactory for normal user.

4 gb is plenty.

The numerical pad have been given separately which is great thing!

Display from compaq are good...

WARRANTY IS JUST ONE YEAR!, so if anything goes wrong after 1 y...

We selected this laptop as it came with an amazing price tag for the performance it offers. The buy back offer from Flipkart just ensured that we didn't miss the deal. The laptop is perfect for basic office usage. It works fast and has a decent backup. Overall a very good buy for the price point we got it for!

No problem with this laptop since the day I bought. Everything for this price tag was so good but there were no driver support for this model, Yes you can download from hp website but not all the drivers are available.

If not have driver problem I would have awarded 5 stars
