Sturdy&simple yet powerful machine
After searching for few days, i have decided to go wtih core-i3 processor and 2-4gb ram. In search for the same i found few good deals from Asus,Samsung and Compaq. i finally ended up with Compaq cq42-462tu, for the following reasons,
Pros:
-14'' ideal for space and weight
-Matte finish (no or less scratches visible)
-sturdy and simple operation
-Nice big keys, help in fast typing, (yet can't compare with mac notebook keyboards :))
-intel core I5-460m processor,( this is the big plus, in fact...

If u want an i5 within 30k then i would suggest this laptop.
the touchpad as well as the wifi connections will have to manually configured.The hp support center provides all the necessary drivers and utilities
