Solid gaming laptop

Pros:

- The machine looks fantastic. The silver body with the black keys superimposed looks beautiful and with backlights it's just stunning.

- More than acceptable gaming performance. Once you tune the PC up and remove some of the useless bloatware that comes with it, performance for most of the latest games was good. It's obviously not going to run everything at 1080p and max settings, but I got almost everything running silky smooth at high settings

- Excellent quality screen

Great

Bought this mainly for gaming, and its a beast for it. I can play any game(Dota2/LoL/Fifa15/WoW/CSGO/Skyrim,etc) at MAX settings without any fps issues.

Zero downsides to it, but if you must find anything it would be the display resolution which is 1366x768, whereas good laptops have 1980 true hd.

Flipkart was great , delivered it 2days earlier than promised, and i'm pretty happy with the product :D

Getting Obsolete Pretty Quickly

Not worth the price

1- GDDR3 graphics memory instead of GDDR5, which has been going for months too
2- Not even Full HD display
3- 5400 RPM of HDD instead of 7200

"Gaming" Laptop? Not really, get cheaper mainstream laptops with better configuration for less price

Never expected this from FLIPKART

I bought this laptop from flipkart using a different account(thats the reason why it wont show me as a certified buyer).

The specs on this site are misleadiing. Its says that the lap has a 4GB dedicated graphics card,Ive cheched it myseld and there is only a 2GB graphics card.

I feel like i,ve been cheated.
Anyone buying this lap, please confirm it with the flipkart people before placing an order.

Not worth considering

I will write only about the cons of the laptop....
no SSD
No ddr5 GPU
No 7200 rpm HDD
No full HD

And this device boasts itself of extreme gaming... Come on HP... you got no Gamers fooled here

Graphic memory

I am planning to buy this laptop. But need to clarify a doubt. Are you sure this laptop comes with a dedicated graphic memory of 4GB powered by NVIDIA GeForce GTX 850M as mentioned here in the Specs section? Asking because HP India website is showing the graphic memory as 2GB for the same model. Please clarify.
Thank you.

Overpriced; obsolescent features

For a 1366 x 768, non-touch display, this laptop seems rather over-priced. Why r manufacturers still producing non-touchscreen displays despite the Windows 8 running these laptops?

The available range of laptops in India is pretty limited compared to the offerings in US/European markets. India seems to be the dumping ground for obsolete/obsolescent technology at astronomical prices. (Why is it that we in India do not get laptops at the tempting offer-prices as they do in the US?)
