The single GSM SIM phone works on the Android v4.1 (Jelly Bean) operating system and is powered by the 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor with a ginormous 2 GB RAM; run as many apps as you could possible want, for multitasking is a breeze with the Butterfly.

Redefining visual clarity, the HTC Butterfly comes with a 5 inch super LCD 3 capacitive touchscreen with full HD at 440 ppi that ensures that you cannot take your eyes off the action on the screen. The phone comes with the HTC Sense 4+ that is both appealing and functional.

Make taking amazing photos of beautiful moments easy with the phone's 8 megapixel primary camera and 2.1 megapixel camera with an LED smart flash and its BSI sensor ensures that bad lighting does not affect the life-like clarity of photos. The Butterfly also lets you record birthday parties in full HD to savor them later.

Design

Slim, curvy yet sturdy, the Butterfly does not compromise on luxurious style that makes it the owner’s pride and the envy of the rest of the world. The 3.5 mm audio jack is packed discreetly on to the phone which is surprisingly sturdy - the screen is made of Corning Gorilla Glass 2. Along with being water resistant, just in case you accidentally get caught in sudden showers, the HTC Butterfly comes with sensors galore to enable you to experience a phone that is truly smart.

Storage and Battery

With an inbuilt memory of 16 GB which can be extended up to 32 GB with a microSD card, the HTC Butterfly packs some serious space for every media need you will have; forget about deleting apps for extra space anymore with this phone. The Butterfly runs on a 2020 mAh Li-Polymer battery that has been installed directly in the case to save space.

Connectivity and Features

The HTC Butterfly lays down connectivity options that you can choose from according to convenience. Switch on the GPRS or EDGE to browse through your Facebook notifications while you are travelling. The 3G on the Butterfly ensures superior browsing speed regardless of where you are and Wi-Fi connectivity allows you to make full use of free internet in the mall. Features at what price ?

Let’s see what we have got here.

FROM FLAGSHIP POINT OF VIEW
HTC Butterfly: 5 Inches, 1080 P screen, Quad-core 1.5 GHz Krait, long in the tooth UI with predictable set of features, good build quality, 4.1.1 Jelly Bean, 8 MP Camera, all this at mind boggling Rs 45890/-
SONY Xperia Z: 5 Inches, 1080 P screen, Quad-core 1.5 GHz Krait, lesser UI customization for better Android experience, superb build quality, 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, 13 MP Camera and a big plus for Indian conditions IP 57 certified D...

Overly overratted

I'm not going to wasted much time here... Config wise the phone is great, no doubt about it

5" full HD screen
2 GB RAM
Quad Core Krait CPU

... but @ 45k+ it deserves to rot in showrooms & go-downs, no thank you HTC, reduce the price or die.

First Week with HTC butterfly

First of all if you are planning to get this phone get it for the price of 27K which is the listing for WS Retail(i assume they are out of stock currently).
The design and build quality is great which is expected from HTC. Been using the phone for a week now and love the features it entails. The touch is buttery smooth. Upgraded the phone to 4.2.2 and sense 5, though liked the recent app UI which you get out of box and post upgrade it brings you a 3*9 matrix.
Now to shorten thing up, the pro...

Butterfly S

When is flipkart getting the Butterfly S?
The old butterfly is just a shabby job of mixing and matching different components. The new one is from a well-tested model, the One.
Please launch The Butterfly S soon flipkart, I dont want to buy the HTC One in a hasty decision and regret it for the next 1-2 years!

3 weeks with HTC butterfly

Now, most of them have already commented how this phone is over priced. Blah blah blah.. yap yap.. anyway, I don't want to get in to that. This phone is not for a person who is not interested in personalizing the look and feel of a phone. Trust me, you will feel that its overpriced. I was planning to but HTC one, but nerver liked what they had done with 4.2.2 update. I ordered this phone on 11th sept and, received it on 13th!..

Phone was available with an offer : bluetooth headset+Eveready U...

2. Hardware: Absolutely Lag free and responsive.

3. Screen: Very good one, considering the price (got it for 25 k)

4. Audio Quality: Clearly the biggest asset of this phone, sounds great both on loudspeaker and headphones.

5. Battery: Sufficient, but cold have been better

Buy the DROID DNA instead

I own a droid DNA and having used it for 2 weeks, i am in good position to write a review.

Pros (over competition)
1. Display is AMAZING, super LCD3 hits everything else out of the park including the Z and ZL. Although Z and ZL have 1080p screens its dull and not vibrant like the HTC DNA.

2. The design of DROID DNA is breathtaking, you cant beat HTC's in build quality.

3. UI is buttery smooth, although Z and ZL have similar specs to it, sony's interface is still stuck in 100 BC, its not ...

The most PERFECT Android ever...!

Guys, never compare a HTC with a Sony Xperia. Whatever the configuration, Xperia is miles behind HTC. Even the Xperia Z is of no match. Do not be fooled by their THIRTEEEEEEEEEEEN MEGA PIXEL Camera... The clearity is worse than the 8 MP of Butterfly.
And about that dirt and water proof feature, who needs them...? Do you always carry your phone in a water bottle...? Or in a mud bag...? Huh.. Waste feature to attract everyone... Just bring both mobiles either side and have a go... The touch se...
