different from desire 816
the main difference from desire 816 is that 816G has mediatek processor while 816 has Qualcomm SD processor, instead flipkart listed 816G also has qualcomm's processor.
Make the change Flipkart.

Camera setting
camera>settings>camera settings>preview size>4:3
the resolution will be 13MP only if the settings are made as above & not if the preview size is full screen.
This is not a drawback, but if the preview size is full screen, the max. resolution of the camera(camera>settings>camera settings>picture size) that can be selected will only be until 8MP for the primary camera

people often give misleading reviews for smartphones without even using them ...i thought this and went to try this on my own so bought this from flipkart...people always use to misguide you ...take your own decisions.
I did this. Thumbs up for flipkart....they delivered me the product in less than 11 hours..free of cost (Lightening fast).

In looks department it may be exactly identical to the 816 but the hardware specs speaks the truth and reveals why the 816 is a highly successful phone in its price segment. if you want to differentiate on one particular and important aspect then it will be the heart of the phone that is the processor. 816 runs with the help of Snapdragon 400 series processor which is proven for its stability and performence whereas the 816 G uses the Mediatek processor which is used in all low budget phones....

I am using HTC desire 816G blue
The overall mobile is very nice and worth-full but the only bad thing in this is that its get heat from behind side very soon specially when I am playing games.
