truly an amazing phone..i"ll definitely prefer 820s over samsung or any other mobile inthis price segment.
#flawless permoance...battery gets you thruough the entire day with average gaming ,surfing , texting,and call time..
#huge screen and striking looks..though its not 1080 p but gives away an fantastic display quality...
#it takes a little more time than usual to charge fully but isn't a problem if are textning or gaming along with charging
#boom speakers are adequately loud...and the fee...

I have both the version of 820 and 820S. I felt 820S is better because it support 64 bit applications. Though processor speed people say is low i applied some material games which depends on processor and only 820S supports it.

Camera of-course HTC camera quality is not as expected but check Sony 21 MP camera with HTC 13 MP Camera then you will never comment of Camera of HTC.
Sound no one can comment on HTC sound.

I support HTC 820S as of now.

The Phone is great in its price range, it is up to date according to today's need and technology.
Pluses are nice Camera, nice speakers, nice processes, nice touch, good storage space etc, etc.
Minuses are poor Battery backup, Nano SIM Slot, a bit over size, Battery heating, non removable Battery, etc, etc..

HTC service center has denied to give warranty on online purchased mobile inspite of being purchased from renounced WSselller.

In first week of purchase my phone's mic was not working, i went to HTC service center( in Jaipur), there service person said we donot entertain service warranty for online mobile set, then i talked with customer care on HTC toll free number, they also said same thing.

I was lucky that flipkart offers 30 day replacement warranty, by which they took it back with 100%...

specifications of this phone is awesome.
possibly the best for the price. only difference between 820 and 820s is the user interface.
u get less editing options and some other features that r in 820. however the phone is very fast and very good to use.
and as always , thnx flipkart for saving more than 2000, had i purchased it from a retailer

Look and feel:-
The HTC Desire 820s is a perfect lookalike of its predecessor. Nothing has changed as far as physical appearance goes, and it's impossible to tell one from the other. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, because we liked the look and feel of its predecessor and still do. The plastic body might not work for everyone, but HTC's construction quality is a fair bit better than what a lot of other manufacturers put out. The white body with blue accents is still the best colour option...

This phone has a VERY powerful processor for its price, but for some reason it does not have HTC Sense 6. The UI is designed so that it looks like sense UI, Even the icons are identical, but being an HTC user myself, I just cannot stand those hideous looking apps: phone, music, camera, gallery etc.

The Accounts don't sync properly either. Processing power is useless if the software isn't well designed or the UI makes you want to throw the phone out of the window.

Using this phone for two years. First of all i will say about its positives. For these two years i haven't had an issue of hang. Excelent performance. Satisfactory battery life. The phone slipped from my hand for more than 10 times. No issue at all. That is a good thing as it is not having gorilla glass. Great display. Good for gaming. Front cam is good one. Touch is good.Good sound quality. Overall appearance too good for all hTC.
