HTC Rhyme is a well-crafted capacitive touchscreen phone. The smartphone runs on
Android v2.3 (Gingerbread) platform. The
1 GHz Qulacomm Scorpion processor allows you to experience faster browsing on the handset. The Rhyme features a
HTC Sense UI that provides shortcuts to your favourite applications and smooth navigation.
The Android phone features a 3.7-inch touchscreen display, which allows you to view videos and images in bigger screen with 480 x 800 pixel of resolution. The HTC Rhyme features a 5 megapixel autofocus camera and a VGA front camera. With auto focus available in the handset you can go closer to the image and click photos. Other features like Geo tagging helps you to get better quality pictures.
The LED flashlight in the Rhyme helps you to take good pictures during the night. The phone camera also supports HD video recording at 720 x 1280 pixels of resolution. You can play them at MP4, 3GP, 3G2, H.263, H.264 and WMV formats.
Design
The HTC Rhyme comes with aluminium and a soft touch surface. The top of the phone features a power button and a
3.5 mm audio jack. The left occupies the micro USB port and volume rocker on the right. You can find microphones at the top and the bottom of the handset in order to add sound quality.
At the back of the phones lies the camera, single flashlight and the loudspeaker grill. A 0.3 megapixel VGA camera is situated at the front of the handset. HTC features sensors like Accelerometer for UI auto-rotate, Ambient light sensor and Proximity sensor for auto turn-off.
Battery and Storage
The Android phone is powered by 1600 mAh Li-Ion battery which provides a
talk time up to 10 hours in 2G and 8 hours in 3G. When fully charged the handset provides a standby time up to 340 hours on 3G and 295 hours on 2G. HTC Rhyme has an inbuilt memory of 1GB which can be
expanded up to 32 GB using microSD, microSDHC cards.
Connectivity and Features
The Rhyme from HTC allows you to
access the Internet through GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi and 3G. You can check your professional and personal Emails on the move. Connectivity features like Bluetooth and USB port allows you to share various files like music, videos and images with other devices.
You can also store your favourite music numbers and can play them in the music player. The player supports MP3, WAV formats. The FM radio lets you tune into your favourite stations and enjoy the shows.
The Wi-Fi Hotspot in the HTC handset acts like a modem and allows other devices to use the Internet. A-GPS allows you to navigate to your desired locations. The Push Email facility allows you to check your mails on the go.
