    Description
The HTC Wildfire is a full touch Android v2.2 Froyo mid-range smartphone. Despite the modest price tag, the HTC Wildfire comes loaded with a the highly intuitive HTC Sense UI, Wi-Fi, A-GPS & 3G connectivity. The Wildfire is powered by a 528 MHz ARM11 processor and handles most of the apps with zero-lag.

The Wildfire sports a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash allows you to capture low noise photos & videos even in low light.

    Design

The HTC Wildfire sports a 3.2-inch (240 x 320 pixels) capacitive touchscreen and features an optical trackpad for streamlined navigation. HTC smartphones follow a standard build quality protocol and despite being a budget Android phone, the Wildfire sports an almost similar chassis as its more expensive sibling. The 3G smartphone retains similar combination of soft-touch plastics, glass capacitive touchscreen, touch sensitive buttons, optical trackpad and the slick metal highlights.

    Storage and Battery

The HTC Wildfire supports microSD cards up to 32 GB and is powered by a Li-Ion 1300 mAh battery.

    Connectivity and Features

The HTC Wildfire offers full Flash Lite and multi-touch support and comes preloaded with Friends Stream, which integrates your friend's Facebook updates, Flickr photos and Tweets into a single platform. This 3G smartphone also lets you share the link to your favourite app via text, mail or on Twitter/Facebook.

This Android smartphone also supports handy reference tools like Wiki lookup, one-touch dictionary and translation. The HTC Wildfire is a 3G handset and can support data transfer speeds up to 7.2 Mbps. This 3G smartphone features a unique social phonebook which can merge your phonebook and social networking buddies, besides being able to sync photos from Flickr and Facebook.

The HTC Wildfire supports Wi-Fi and quad-band GSM connectivity and has a built-in GPS receiver and digital compass that supports turn-by-turn navigation. This HTC smartphone has a fuss-free music player that supports multiple formats ( MP3, WAV) and a video player that plays MP4, H.263, H.264 & WMV9 files.

The HTC Wildfire features the acclaimed HTC Sense UI which offers tons of customisation and one-touch access options. The seven homescreens on the phone may be a little confusing, thankfully, HTC has included the Leap View feature on the Wildfire, which gives you a quick overview of your homescreens and a shortcut to easily switch between them.

    Not worth it anymore

First and foremost, This review comes from an owner of the phone since the past 1 year (Purchased - Oct 2010).

Back then, it was among the best options to be had if you had a budget of 15K (My purchase price), and, no phone came close, with only the LG Optimus One having been released sometime around the same time, so, I decided to go for the Wildfire anyhow, hoping that I would get used to the downsides (2007-spec hardware on a new OS, and a 320x240 display on a 3.2" screen) would cure over...

    Basic Android Phone

Not Impressed with the performance ...Just a regular phone
    I Don't even consider it a Smartphone
    Display is poor
    Sound Quality is ok
Games run really slow . even angry birds run like hell
    Camera Quality is nice
    A SERIOUS NO.

    Nokia vs Android

Nokia is bleeding. With indigenous companies taking over its 2g market, the 3g will be taken over by android phones (Unless Nokia really comes out with android!). No doubt Nokia models are good, but now their outlook has rather turned conservative from experimental. Why pay for an expensive Nokia phone in which there is no customization possible when at the same prices you get much better android phones? Just for instance compare HTC wildfire with any of the Nokia phones in the same price ran...

    Bad cellphone

It's been a month I am using this cellphone.

Overall an average mobile phone. Hang prb is there with some games and application. Battery life is average.

Design fault can be seen camera is slightly outward. Antenna on backside make it poor if placed hand over it,or put in a closed space. It affects the reception of network and call quality.
How HTC can make such a phone, it is such a basic thing. No other phone has such a prb.

Sound quality is poor while talking on a call.
    Headset provided...

    Not good quality

I didn't buy this phone from flipkart but I have used it for a year. After the first five months the phone started hanging up slowly and majority of the functions stopped working. if you type fast the qwerty hangs up and then randomly inserts characters on its own. Following this the camera started pixelating and becoming grainy. I've checked, my camera surface isn't scratched. Worst thing is that the camera hangs up when trying to take a picture and the phone hangs up when trying to make or ...

Great phone at a great price

Love this phone for its solid build quality, fantastic features (HTC Sense & Froyo), good touch response screen and reasonable price.

As for Flipkart's service, its been pretty good too. They delivered as promised (in 4 days in my case), with safe packaging and contents as advertised. Overall a satisfactory purchase.
