Description
The iBall Aasaan is a GSM handset that is specially designed to serve as an user-friendly communication device for the elderly. Despite the simple aesthetics, Aasaan manages to pack several useful features like SOS messaging, extended battery life and essential utility apps.
The 1.65 inch display on the Aasaan features an extra bright orange back-light for easy readability. The extra-large keypad on the Aasaan takes up much of chassis space and allows for hassle-free typing for those with a failing eyesight. The thoughtful addition of a dedicated flashlight button allows for quick operability in the event of an emergency.
The highlight of the iBall Aasaan is the SOS slider on it's rear panel. Once activated, the phone emits a loud siren to alert anyone nearby. The handset then automatically sends an emergency SMS to 5 pre-defined mobile numbers. After this, the mobile starts calling the 5 numbers in rapid succession until one of them is answered.

The Aasaan comes with an internal FM radio antennae, which allows you to listen to the radio without having to connect the headset. A set of flashing multicolor back-lighting further aids in simplifying operating the phone. There is a 3.5 mm audio out port on the Aasaan for connecting the headset or any generic headphones.
Battery and Storage
A 1000 mAh Lithium Ion battery powers the phone and gives a talktime of 3 hours and 30 minutes. The device can be go on standby for 250 hours. The iBall Aasaan can store up to 200 SMSes and 500 phonebook entries.

GOOD MOBILE FOR OLDERLY OR VISUALLY WEAK
Its was quite a good purchase for me.. I bought 2 of them 1 for my grand mother and one for my Mother-in-Law. the num-pad is huge and the basic functioning is quite a useful feature for the category I had mentioned in the title at first.
There are 2 problems I have found so far. 1. the radio have a weak receiving strength and 2. some time the microphone is disturbing.

A simple but wonderful product
I bought this phone for my father. I have seen him having tough time with the advanced phones, searching for address book, searching for keys etc. This phone comes with big key pad, which is lot easier for the elderly. But the display screen is small and it is black & white. If the screen size can be made little bigger along with the font size, it will be best phone for senior citizen. I am a happy customer for this phone. :)

Good choice for elderly ppl
Overall a good phone.
Pros:
1. Large white color backlite keypad which has excellent viewing for elderly ppl.
2. High ringing volume
3. dedicated button for torch lite
4. dedicated button for radio, which can be listened without using headphone.
Cons:
1. Display backlight cannot be changed to any different color
2. Comparatively very cramped display.

I Ball Aasan- A Real Bliss For the Aged
I ordered the phone looking at the T.V advertisement. The phone was sent to me within 3 days after placing the order. It is an excellant phone with large keys which can be seen even without specs. The wireless fm is simply amazing. The torch button, phone lock button and the sos button are the phone's usp. As soon as the sos button is pressed a loud siren activates and emergency message is sent to 5 people along with call on their no one by one. This phone is simply awesome for senior citizen...

Best phone for elders
My parents are over sixty and find to use this phone a breeze as it is very similar to cordless. Big number keys and voice help. The SOS is a big plus and provides some kinda confidence to us. This product was delivered by FlipKart in 2days. Amazing Work Flip Kart!
