  • Description
1900 BC. In what modern Indians mistakenly call the Indus Valley Civilisation. The inhabitants of that period called it the land of Meluha a near perfect empire created many centuries earlier by Lord Ram, one of the greatest monarchs that ever lived. This once proud empire and its Suryavanshi rulers face severe perils as its primary river, the revered Saraswati, is slowly drying to extinction. They also face devastating terrorist attacks from the east, the land of the Chandravanshis. To make matters worse, the Chandravanshis appear to have allied with the Nagas, an ostracised and sinister race of deformed humans with astonishing martial skills. The only hope for the Suryavanshis is an ancient legend: When evil reaches epic proportions, when all seems lost, when it appears that your enemies have triumphed, a hero will emerge. Is the rough-hewn Tibetan immigrant Shiva, really that hero? And does he want to be that hero at all? Drawn suddenly to his destiny, by duty as well as by love, will Shiva lead the Suryavanshi vengeance and destroy evil? This is the first book in a trilogy on Shiva, the simple man whose karma re-cast him as our Mahadev, the God of Gods.

    Readers and Reviewers....

Hey ppl who are writing the review comments, the author has clearly mentioned that the book is work of fiction. I hope ppl understand what fiction means. He has used the concepts of mythology and religious beliefs to mould it into a triology. he doesnot claim that what he writes in the book has been happend the same way. I request the readers to read with an open mind, just enjoy the emotions in the book. Wat u believe abt ancient India is ur belief and the author is not claiming that it is w...

    Unsatisfactory

Poor quality. Bought it with great expectations... The cover page had creases as if it had been used and once i ordered a replacement I was provided with an entirely different book for competitive exams. Horrible experience. Waste of time. Waste of money. Don't trust this seller.

    "Overrated book"

The book is no doubt well written and hold reader to read further, yet some of concept are too obvious in modern world and bring back reader to realise that content is fictitious Mention of faucet like structure which are too obvious in now a days make readers realise that inspiration has come from todays common article and not from old culture's. At time author have to use actual word to make his pictorial description understandable like telling "idli" after all its wordly description. Expla...

Q:Does this book depict the real life of lord shiva? Or a imagined one by the author?
A:It has nothing to do with the established concepts. It's a fiction, attempting to impart more humanly logical and materialistic elements into the storyline. This is not a theistic event.

Q:I don't know the story of shiv yet, even the basic knowledge of his story. Will it be easier for me to catch up the plot of the book?
A:Yes. Don't read the book as if reading story of shiv, read the story like you are reading for a common man who distinguished himself through his Karma.
