TIB by Ruchita Misra

While reading the book, you dont feel like you are reading a book. Its more like someone's telling you a story and makes the book unputdownable. The laughs you get are genuine, the situations real(apart from the mafia involvement - mafia in a book on marriages!!! Read book for more details ;)) and the characters immensely likeable esp the calm and silent Dr.Purva.

The book showcases the power of friendship. how people change when in love, how people overlook the obvious when in love and how ...

Simple yet gripping!

So, finally I am through reading ‘The (In) Eligible Bachelors’. The book does an absolutely brilliant and extraordinary role in transporting the reader to every plot and scene in the story. The storyline is gripping to the core, the characters absolutely common but unique in their own ways, the settings fascinate the visual chords of your eyes and the play of words is truly pleasant to the eyes and ears. The vivid evocation of Kasturi Shukla catches on to the reader’s stride and fills the vis...

Could not put it down, a laugh riot!!!

Ruchita Misra has a surefire winner on her hands here. The (In)eligible Bachelors is a laugh riot. I finished it non-stop and was pleasantly surprised with how real the characters and situations are. It is almost as if I was one of the suitors Kasturi met and the situation led to a humuours 'incident'.... Varun and Ananya are admirable friends and the books handles friendship and love in a very delicate manner. Have given the book to my Mum to read... Needless to say, this book has the potent...

And Kasturi..well i suggest Jab we met's Geet (kareena) should play the role if any sensible directors pics it up and converts it into a screenplay!

Bottom line: A very well written, funny, gripping book! a must Read :)

Seeing my son smiling and laughing throughout reading this book, I couldn't resist, so started reading it too. After a decade i was reading and I'm glad i read this one. I really loved Kasturi's mom as could relate to so many friends of mine, which was really funny. Well defined characters, very humorous, it is actually fast paced. I loved this book, my first book by an Indian author. Congratulations.

Simply un-put-downable

The book as its description suggests is about arranged marriages, but it has so much in store; love, friendship, drama, heroes, and all that which makes the book thoroughly entertaining. The writing style makes the story and characters so identifiable, so real, you will end up finding uncanny similarities between Kasturi, Anu, Purva, Pitaji, Rajiv sir and ofc the mom in question and the people you know in your real life. A true winner Ms.Misra has managed to write, and I am sure there will b...

A light, funny read

Just finished reading the book! Couldn't put it down....it did give me the smiles and the laughters and the lumps in the throat...and now I feel like I've just finished watching a movie...having concocted the characters and settings in mind...although...the one thing that could be improved upon(personal opinion)would be the predictability...but really enjoyed it despite having guessed what was going to happen..

This book is about me!

Hey people, Ruchita has written such a wonderful story that I can 100% relate to. It really feels as if the characters and plots and sub-plots are something which have happened with me and my friends. Simple and yet so engaging and powerful. This is a winner and Ruchita is a star. Look forward to the next one :) :) :)

One chronicle which every bachelor would like/love to read!!!

‎The(In)Eligible Bachelors is a laugh riot from beginning to end. Hilarious would be an understatement. It’s simply unputdownable ... fast, witty, & relatable characters. The first book ever which made me laugh out loud at oh! so many points! Kasturi’s diary is one chronicle which every bachelor would like/love to read.
Seeing my late night reactions, my mom is now reading it after almost a decade. The sight of her reading, laughing and smiling throughout surely makes this book a treat for e...
