About Tariq Ramadan
Tariq Ramadan is a Swiss academic and writer. An Egyptian by origin, he is currently a Professor of Contemporary Islamic Studies in the Faculty of Oriental Studies at the Oriental Institute, St Antony's College, Oxford University. A Visiting Professor at the Faculty of Islamic Studies in Qatar and the Director of the Research Centre of Islamic Legislation and Ethics (CILE) in Doha, Qatar, he is a recognized Islamic scholar and an advocate of the heterogeneous nature of Western Muslims.
Ramadan has also written Arab Awakening, Radical Reform: Islamic Ethics and Liberation and To Be a European Muslim.
