First, use it for making idli alone and not dosa. 1.5 cups of idli rava needs to mixed with 0.33 cup of urad dal that was soaked for 3 hours and mashed in Mixer. Add water for correct consistency. I add upto 400ml which is 2 tumblers. I arrived at this formula using trial and error. I set this batter by 10AM and use it for making idlies by 6:30 PM. Idlis will have the pleasant smell of rava. Very soft and tasty idlies superior to one prepared using standard idli rice. I get 16 idlies this way...
