Indian National Movement the Long Term Dynamics (English, Undefined, Chandra)
Indian National Movement: The Long Term Dynamics, authored by Bipan Chandra, is a book that delves into the intricacies of the history of India’s freedom struggle.
Summary of the Book
Bipan Chandra explores the national movement in a whole new analytical framework in Indian National Movement: The Long Term Dynamics. Based on the theoretical advances made by Antonio Gramsci, the Italian Marxist thinker, the book asserts that the Indian national movement was a comprehensive, integrated struggle, rather than a series of local movements across the nation. This perspective has more so to do with Gandhi; the role that nonviolence played as the ideology of the freedom movement, the connection that the leaders then had with the masses are also detailed, with all the subtleties being brought out brilliantly and clearly.
