    Description

Inferno is a bestselling thriller centred on the popular fictional symbologist, Robert Langdon, who is in the hospital after suffering a bullet injury. He finds a mysterious cylinder in his jacket, and an assassin who seems to be following him.

    Summary Of The Book

The protagonist of the previous two books by Dan Brown, The Da Vinci Code and The Lost Symbol, Robert Langdon returns in the Inferno with a thrilling new story.

The book begins in Europe, where Langdon wakes up from a head injury in the hospital with no recollection of the past few days. He also has with him a metal cylinder that consists of references to Dante’s poem, The Divine Comedy. Furthermore, all that the professor remembers is that he was walking through the Harvard campus, but now is in the city of Florence. However, after a female assassin tries to kill him there, Langdon along with the doctor, Sienna Brooks, are both forced to go to her apartment. From here, they embark on a thrilling journey that forms the crux of the book.

During their adventures, they come out of life threatening situations by solving complex codes centred on Dante’s Inferno, which is a literary masterpiece. Forced to decode the mystery of the Inferno, Langdon not only faces a grave threat to his life, but the need to save the world from imminent chaos and destruction as well. As the story progresses, new characters like Elizabeth, Bertrand Zobrist, Elizabeth Sinskey, and Vayentha come together to play a pivotal role in the story.

The villain of Inferno, Bertrand Zobrist is a brilliant scientist, who has put into place a master plan to destroy the entire world.

Inferno has been translated into numerous languages like Spanish, French, Turkish, German, Italian and many others. Initially, the book sold 369,000 copies and was a top selling book at the USA and UK book charts at the time of its release.

    To Anuradha Bose

I do not know whether you have even read the book or are sounding like one of those critics who have unknowingly badgered about the book.It seems you need to know how to write rather than advise others regarding Dan Brown's recent novel.

First of all you have mentioned tom and jerry in your abysmal review.even a child knows the outcome in a tom and jerry episode.Dan brown writes thrillers where readers hold their breath till the last chapter to know the end plot.

    Secondly as all my flipkart...

'Inferno' Covers a Topic which Makes you Think Hard!

The greatest achievement of a writer comes when he/she can make the readers think. This book is the usual Dan Brown... finding secrets immersed in works of the Masters. However, this book has something more too... and that's what makes us think.
For the first time, a Dan Brown antagonist makes you believe in what he believed. What he believed in is the Truth. And the measures he took (although debatable) are the ones of a lonely and desperate genius. Even for once, you start believing in the ...

Good one, But not Dan Brown's Best! Koz Langdon needs some rest!

One awesome thing about Dan Brown is that, He makes his readers want to go to all the places he so beautifully describes in his books.
It was Paris in the Da Vinci Code, then The Vatican City in Angels and Demons, the DC Capitol Building in The Lost Symbol and now, Florence and Venice! His magic is captivating.
If you're a previous reader, you would want to love to have that magic continued. And if you're a newbie in the world of Dan Brown, brace yourself to get thrilled!
    Now, here comes the...

    Un-put-downable!

Now, finally, Dan Brown has achieved redemption for The Lost Symbol. Inferno is not for the pedantic mindset of today. It has employed a Vito Corleone ideology in a magnanimous scale: profits of today are not necessarily the profits of tomorrow.

The book is a new chapter in the history of thriller on the basis of its very plot-line. The last 20 chapters just ridicule the very foundation that the first 80 chapters lay, and that too with elegance. Needless to say, Dan Brown's grasp on medieva...

Book is very nice, a must read. It is just that whenever they say hardcover they give you paper back version of the book.

    Repetitive, but thought provoking

Robert Langdon has been a busy man, but it seems his outings have been less gripping of late. With four books out now, the Dan Brown formula is becoming slightly predictable.
How the pretty yet flawed female companion always finds Langdon is the biggest mystery.
That said, once we give Dan Brown his literary license to formula, Inferno is a gripping enough read that is guaranteed, if not to send your adrenaline pumping, at least to keep you turning pages. There are even fleeting moments when...

Brown's Most Mature Writing till Date..

well a dan brown title certainly creates a little buzz before its release..but the question that lingers now is that is the book really worth the hype n buzz it generates?..well the answer in this case is certainly yes...i fell in love way back in 2008 with the character langdon when he first appeared in da vinci code and the writer compelled me to love him again in the brilliant Angels and demons that followed...but he kind of killed it with the dissapointing The Lost symbol..but still i pre...

    :(

I have pre ordered this book and paid Rs x only to find out in couple of weeks that flipkart slashed its price to Rs (x-130)!

I should've wait. So it simply means that flipkart is not honoring the customers who actually put their trust and ordered even before it was launched

    Worthless

This book seems a pirated copy and I am very much frustrated, not a hard cover binding as mentioned in specification. I am not in a position to return it because it is bought for gift purpose and I feel shame to gift this low quality book to someone! I have bought amazing Inferno hard cover binding from Amazon earlier and this time I choose Flipcart and it is disheartening!

    As always! Dan brown's magic!!

I ordered the book during the book sale at a pretty cheap price and was worried until i received the product(worried that they might deliver a book with blonde Robert Langdon in it :P). Coming to the book, not the best of Dan Brown but who wants to miss a book from him? Its as thrilling as any of his novels! Worth reading!(If you get it for a cheap rate like me, definitely!!)

Q:I'm pretty confused with the paperback thing. What actually is it? And is this going to be a book or something like epub, pdf etc..
A:It's going to be a book. Paperback just means that the book has hard cover and is bound by glue rather than stitched.
