Warranty Summary
6 months
Covered in Warranty
Hardware Failure: The device won't turn on, a button stops clicking, or the Wi-Fi chip dies for no reason. Manufacturing Defects: A laptop screen with lines running through it or a phone battery that swells up within the first few months. Workmanship: Parts that come loose or fall off because they weren't soldered or glued correctly at the factory.
Not Covered in Warranty
Accidental Damage: This is the big one. If you drop your phone and crack the screen, or spill coffee on your laptop, the standard warranty won't help. Water/Liquid Damage: Even "water-resistant" devices often have internal stickers that change color when wet; if those are triggered, the warranty is usually void. Unauthorized Repairs: If you (or a third-party shop) open the device to try and fix it yourself, you usually "break the seal" and lose coverage. Normal Wear and Tear: Scratches on the casing, fading paint, or buttons becoming slightly "mushy" over years of use. Consumables: Things meant to be replaced, like remote control batteries or printer ink cartridges. Acts of God: Damage from lightning strikes, power surges (unless you have specific surge protection coverage), or floods.
