The purpose of N95 is that it should be tightly fixated and is immobile so it should be small
those aren't holes, those are for ventilation, they still have 3 layer's at those junctions, else you really will have difficulty in breathing,
How to reuse,
rather than washing, keeping in sunlight is easier and is better than washing, as washing may create holes, keep it in sunlight for about 10hrs and you are good to reuse for another day, ...
