In an decent budget this is an excellent microprocessor, 3.3GHz, 2 cores with hyper threading technology. I have installed it on intel board DH61WW and no external graphics card. RAM size is 4GB. Onboard graphics HD2000 with DVMT is giving outstanding results. I have played NFS undercover and Battlefield and saw very good graphics performance.

i3 2120 is a dual core processor with 4 threads which is capable of handling anything you can throw at it. Good performance with multitasking and gaming.
It is a good alternative to similarly priced AMD X4 and X6 chips with a slight edge at single core performance.

this is one of the best processors you can get if your budget is somewhere around 25000-30000. Also the intel HD 2000 is a decent graphics chip, i am running ps2 games with emulators with no external graphics card and with just the stock fan and one more fan on cabinet, just wanted to test it out. I did bought it for my small office computers, considering our work to be more process oriented then an average user. But i must say, i3 second edition is a real charm. Processing power is much improved then previous editions and even motherboard for this processor is cheeper then first generation boards. So in totality First gen and second gen costs the same but you get whole lot of new technology.

I spent many days on searching for a budget processor, I came around lots of options like: AMD fx-4100, phenom 960, 1075 and more.I was confused that AMD is offering 4 or 6 core in 7000 also have overclocking and higher clock rate then I compared this processor with each option I had using different different benchmarks and believe it or not it's best among them.
