Excellent Processor (but don't buy)

Been using this processor for many years now.
It was one of the best processors you could buy when it was first launched in 2008. The price was around Rs 12,500 and the performance was miles ahead of any competitor.
A very good indicator of the 'goodness' this processor is that even 5 years down the road its price is still the same. But to be realistic it is no longer the great buy it used to be since today you can get your hands on a good i3 or i5 for this price and these new processors are ...

Great Processor but still too much expensive for a back dated technology processor

This is a great processor but I don't understand the reason for selling such processors at such high prices. This processor was launched in the year 2008 and it is in the category of "End Of Life". Intel has launched the 4th generation processors in Core category and the 5th generation Core processors are going to launch by the end of 2014.
