i7-4930k is better

don't just look into the no: of cores and clock speed. This i7 is equipped with 6 cores that has it is made with hyper-threading technology. That means it is like 6x2(12) cores working at 3.6 GHz . It goes up to 4 GHz with intel's turbo boost technology. Its architecture is ivy-bridge E which is very much efficient than any of the AMD engines.
Power usage is very less(130w) when compared to its performance. No AMD engines has come near this beast in performance.
Its quad channel ram makes l...

Price Performance Ratio!!!

Hi, AMD is not showing threads as cores, even if they are showing it like that, multithreading performance is still way too great with an AMD.
Cut it out with task-manager and all other stuffs, take the chart and read it. Take the circuit block diagram and see that. See the architecture. And most of all USE A MULTI THREADED APPLICATION to benchmark.
Frankly said, i never used this product, I am not judging this product either. Yes if you bencm mark it with a top end AMD processor, this one wi...

Well I did it I bought it!

well I used all my 5yrs of money saved up on this processor though bought it from Taiwan cause it was hardly available here :P...and also got the Asus Rampage IV Black Edition mobo with it!
Truth be told I am happy yes but this processor was pretty damn expensive...I bought it as I am a 3D multimedia Artist but still learning...I tried games on this beast and I can say this is like nothing I have ever seen in my life those who will go for this like me without hesitation will learn the True de...

to each his own

Gotta admit this processor is the god of processors.... way too expensive, but amazing processing power and it runs cooler than most of the AMDs at this level, best for rendering applications, where mostly the APU is used, cause for other graphic intensive applications like show casing you would still need a graphic card cause inbuilt intel GPUs don`t have the adequate features for that....

And to all the AMD freaks... lemme tell you one thing intel might be costing more but there are quite ...

Not Up To Mark

Total Wastage of money.
Machine performacne can only be checked by Encoding and how much time it is taking to complete.
This machine perfomance is less than AMD FX-9590. @ 22,899/-
So why should you all waste money Buying Intel product!!

My Group friend Bought this with Motherboard ASRock X79 Extreme9 29000/-
And
Another Friend Bought FX-9590 And And Gigabite Motherboard @ 8000/-[Not over Flipkart]

THEY BOTH BOUGHT SAME RAM AND HDD IN THEIR MACHINE

Now Let me tell About CPU performance....

Difference between cores and threads

Cores are the physical processors in a cpu, threads are the number of processes that can be handled by the cpu.

A 6 core 6 threads @3.6ghz Processor means that a single core of the cpu will handle two processes @1.8ghz each.

Enough Said

Seriously, Intel? AMD will soon wipe you out of existence, you goons!

So you are telling me that this laughing stock of a flagship with only 3.6 ghz clock speed and 6 cores is worth that much, while AMD FX 9590 flagship(8 cores and 4.7 ghz base clock speeds and optional overclocking-friendly black edition) is worth around 22k(right here on flipkart!!!) ? The only area where this is better is the L3 cache(15MB against 8MB of the AMD one) but really kicks itself in the crotch with the ludicrous 1.5 MB L2 cache against the 8MB L2 of the AMD's. So these intel guys ...

Best CPU on planet, overpriced

Even though the CPU is the best till date for desktop PCs it's way too overpriced. People would usually go for the haswell designed normal CPU from the 4770 seires.
