This is one of the basic books for finite element methods.The wordings are simple enough to understand easily. An advanced level book is also available by the same author.

It is a very nicely written book covering almost all the general topics. But it lacks clarity in correlating the topics one after another. On the other hand finite element procedures by Bathe is best book in this regard. I would recommend this book for reference.

This is must buy for people who are doing projects or research on using fem techniques and are interested in numerical modelling of various mechanical systems(vibrational , heat transfer , static and dynamic loading ).
