this book is a very good quality text on solid state physics.. recieved it in perfect brand new condition. And it is the latest reprint of latest edition .. Though i received it a day or two later than promised..

5th edition better

in eight edition many contents have been omitted by the publisher .......dont know why

i suggest you guys to buy 5th edition if available ..............and ofcourse about this book ,buy without thinking anything
