    Damodar Dharmananda Kosambi was an Indian statistician, mathematician and a Marxist historian. He is best known for his work in numismatics and for compiling key editions of old Sanskrit texts. D. D. Kosambi was an enthusiast of the Chinese revolution and its principles, and also a chief activist in the World Peace Movement. He has authored several books including The Culture and Civilisation of Ancient India in Historical Outline, Unsettling the Past, Indian Numismatics, and Bharat Charitra Parichaya Vyasalu among others.

    Marxist interpretation of history of Aryan coming. Interesting to know how trading is an important aspect human civilization.. But he has not much touched upon the history of extreme South and why and how culturally remained same for the past two millennia. It is also not clear from the book when how Aryans came into this part of the country and how much influence they had . there are so many unknown area in tamil Hisotry. I think we still do not know how subalterns lived in Tamil area ...
