Introductory Nuclear Physics (English, Paperback, Krane Kenneth S.)
Introductory Nuclear Physics is a comprehensive book that furnishes topics like introduction to basic nuclear physics, nuclear decays and reactions, and nuclear structure. This book also covers the areas of basic research and practical applications.
Summary of The Book
Introductory Nuclear Physics stands tall among other books of its genre for its phenomenology and the results of real experiments. This book also covers the areas of basic research and practical applications. The text is designed in such a way that even a student who knows very little about mathematics or quantum theory can understand the core concepts of Nuclear Physics clearly. The book also provides advanced core material in separate sections.
Divided into four parts, this book covers topics like the Basics of Nuclear Physics in its first part. In the second part of the book, it emphasises about Nuclear Decay and Radioactivity. The third part of the book stresses on the Nuclear Reactions. The final part of the book deals with the Extension and Applications of nuclear physics.
The various chapters in Introductory Nuclear Physics deal with Elements Of Quantum Mechanics, Nuclear Properties, The Force Between Nucleons, Detecting Nuclear Radiation, Alpha Decay, Beta Decay, Nuclear Fusion, Accelerators, Meson Physics, Particle Physics, Nuclear Astrophysics, Applications Of Nuclear Physics, Special Relativity, Gamma Decay, Nuclear Reactions, Neutron Physics, and Nuclear Fission.
Discussions of theory are highlighted with examples that exemplify and implement the theoretical formulae. This book is a great assistance in providing scholars with adequate information and analysis of the subject. Introductory Nuclear Physics was published in August 2008 by the eminent Wiley Publishers.
