Synopsis and Features
Davis Russel’s daughter has been kidnapped and to top that a brutal alien race named Lutadore has invaded earth. In many parts across the game’s city the laws of gravity have gone awry. Bizarre phenomenon aside, if Russel doesn’t figure out a way to stop the dangers threatening him, he will lose everything dear to him. Can he accomplish all his objectives in time or will he die trying? Inversion hides the answers to all these questions and more.
Developed by Saber Interactive and published by Namco Bandai Games, Inversion brings in a new concept that will tease your thinking skills. The minimum specifications required to play the game smoothly on your computer are Windows XP, a 1.8 GHz Core 2 Duo E4300 or Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4200+ processor, a 512 MB RAM equipped NVidia GeForce 8800 GTS or ATI Radeon HD 2900 XT graphics card, 2 GB RAM and 5 GB of hard disk space.
The single-player campaign in the game is interesting to play as the game allows you to use Gravlink: a device that creates pockets of zero-gravity. Using this device you can bring out enemies who are hiding behind cover or hoist them into the air and do a lot other stuff. This gameplay mechanic helps you enjoy the game more as you can get creative with each level you play.
You can focus the Gravlink on specific objects to levitate them into air and throw them at your enemies. As you advance through the game you can upgrade the Gravlink, allowing you to create a heavier field of gravity. The innovative element in the game is its combat in zero-gravity. You can jump from one cover option to another, sneaking behind your enemies and then kill them.
Battlefields can turn upside down in a second within the game due to the inclusion of Vector Shifts. When this happens you have to shoot at the Lutadore standing upside down. This brings more depth into the gameplay, as you get to experience some truly fabulous gunplay.
There are many multiplayer modes to choose from in Inversion that range from deathmatch to king of the hill and many others. You can use gravity to earn more points when you are killing enemies. The updates, demos and other content for the game can be downloaded directly from the company’s website.
