Iomega Home Media Network Hard drive Cloud edition
I have been looking at these products for a while. After a study I decided to go for this once I saw it on Flipkart. Good price and a within 24 hrs delivery! Flipkart keeps amazing me.

Awesoome Product from Iomega
Excellent stuff. Has a lot of features which are not mentioned here like, bluetooth connectivity ( with a usb bluetooth dongle). For windows user no software is required for basic setup. For advance setup, download the latest software from the iomega site. The Lan cable is too short for any practical use. No noise at all, except a HDD noice occasionally.

Such a junk
got mine couple of days back from flipkart and got a say what a nightmare, the setup is fairly easy and the technology is good but the execution it is absolute rubbish,
it would work when it would feel like, firstly it would take ages to boot and get ready and most of the time it will not bother to get detected. Will not be there when you would most need it, gets unresponsive after few days, and lastly the tech support is non existent.

Good product and excellent service from Flipkart

Excellent product-bang for the buck
Does what it claims and with ease. Period.
Setting up was breeze. Transfer rates of 5mbps over wifi and around 8-10 through ethernet cable connected to laptop. Which is slow compared to a hard disk, but then this is a server and not a plain vanilla hard disk. Transferred 500 gb of data, a one time pain for me.
Used media streaming to my LG led and its smooth. Only issue is the content shown on tv is automatically divided into album, audio, photo, video folders and not by the file structure o...

not the best, but not too bad for the price tag.
Pros :
1 pretty stylish
2 quick (i think that varies because someone in the reviews section mentioned that it takes 3.5 minutes to start up. mine hardly takes 10 secs,
3 2 user interfaces,, one pretty basic, and the 2nd quiet elaborate, and user friendly
4 i play my songs on itunes, no time delay considering all the music is on the network hard drive, and the hard drive is already busy transferring data from the laptop to the hard drive .

Complete Value for Money.
Works brilliantly with several machines connected on the network
Using it to store my music, movies and backups. Syncing with Apple Time Machine is very easy.
The web interface provided by the built-in software is very well thought of. It contains most of the features that you would want from a Network Storage Drive.
All in all, real value for money.

Not the best solution and not reliable
I had purchased this about 2 years ago and exactly after 1 year 1 months it stopped working. it was not getting recognized on the network. apparently this is very common with this device ( a simple google search will be enough to see the same) and after trying various suggested remedies I was not able to recover any of the data. and since it was out of warranty I could not get any help.
One will expect more from a device which is supposed to be back up for your data.

Superb Device
This backup storage for use on your home router lan. It is an excellent product . You feel as if you have another computer for your backups.It connects easily on macs, linux , windows etc. A cross platform storage and file sharing . It works as central storage. Highly recommend this product.
