first paisa wasool indian graphic-novel/comic/book whatever !

Sumit Kumar shatters the pseudo comic lovers love for intense but boring over the head stuff. Every page is worth its kaala namak.
Would recommend it to every Indian comic lover to take note of this irreverent debut.. Looking forward to more from Kumar.

    Unique Humor

FULL DISCLOSURE: I know it's author. (or he lets me maintain that illusion)

Imagine, one fateful night if Hrishikesh Mukherjee had got angry, horny, drunk and thought,"I need to write a book"... This is what we'd have probably got.

Along with the growing up story, the book covers Indian Middle Class, so accurately and irreverently, that every second page I couldn't help - "That's so true!" while laughing my ass off. This is rare, cause the jokes that are usually intelligent, usually just ma...

Unlike most of the Graphic Novel, with strict panels and vivid illustrations, dialogue and thought balloons, this one seems to be as if its the author personal diary but illustrated.
Even then the illustrations contain more than enough detail to portray the message and make you laugh. The combination of Hindi and English has been put to good effect.
The reason why I liked it a lot was because it felt as...

    Waste of money

I bought the book after reading the reviews on flipkart and it was a hugely disappointing. The only good thing is the new approach to the graphic novel. Apart from that I didn't even find it humorous.

Definitely not worth buying, when there are so many brilliant works vying for your attention

    YOU NEED TO READ THIS!

This is for all the serious and non serious readers out there. This graphical novel will take a couple of hours at max to finish but will leave your head refreshed. You end up laughing through the entire book and can easily see yourself in the story.

This is a refreshing take by an Indian author and graphic artist. Must read.

    Kya Baat Hai!

An excellently well written, well articulated well illustrated book. A must read for anyone and everyone, not just someone who has an itch! An honest to god revolutionary book!

Unfortunately there is nothing much more about the author nor there is an adequate website
