He was awarded the Madan Mohan Gold Medal for securing First-class-First position in the MSc (Mathematics) examination. He was a Visiting Professor at Group ESSEC in France during 1992-93 and has written 16 books and over 100 research papers / case studies. He is a member of the Board of Studies/ Academic Council of several schools of management and universities in the country. He is also involved in conducting executive development programmes for both public and private sectors.
