This book gives you a high order knowledge of the JAVA programming language. The exercises are brilliant and you'll get a deep intuition of the working. The only disadvantage is that it is JAVA 1.4. In my opinion though you can acquire this book it you are okay with reading documentations and getting acquainted with the updates in the work flow. No doubt it's a book that gonna bring you up right from scratch to the professional level.

This a must read for serious would be programer.
