This book is from the same author who wrote the award winning book- Effective Java. So this should be a good enough reason to get hold of the book.

A lot of intricate aspects in Java language have been explained by means of puzzles. This can be a very useful book both interviewee and the interviewer.

Have you guys forgotten your primary business of selling books. Neither I am able to purchase this one nor Effective Java.
Guys don't just ignore your roots, it might cost you in long run.

Quite an awesome book. But I don't recommend it to a java beginner or someone new to programming. This book is intended for those who have done quite a bit of programming, and want to explore the depths of java. It contains lots of examples explaining various 'traps' in java. The saying "There is more to it than it meets the eye." is true considering the examples in this book.

Very nice book. But you need to work out the solution on PC and see for the results yourself ... else you will forget at a faster rate as compared to the rate at which you will learn

Best java book to have at advance level users with lots of mind blowing tricks and pitfalls. This is a must have book for every architect.
I would have liked to have more categorised view of this book.

This book only deals with pit falls i.e. where a java developer will commit mistakes not for any other learning purposes.

This book is very puzzling one. Even a very well experienced Java programmer might get these questions wrong at the first sight. The detailed analysis and explanation of every problem and its output behavior is simply great. Every question is a perplexing and gives food for thought. Enhances the knowledge of the reader and makes one be very carefull when developing with Java and the extra care that needs to be taken. Sincere appreciation for every one involved in creation of this book.

this book could be really HI FI which i am not able to understand and this may not be for beginners....unfortunately there are not many books available on site which provide quiz or questionnaire in precise and concise manner.
