This is the first time I am writing a review in Flipkart. The delivery was excellent and prompt as promised.

About the book, I would say that it will be good for a beginner, like somebody who is going to start with JS/JQ, or some one who has an idea and want to explore more.. I like the practical approach by the author very much..

I mean from things like below to complex stuff..

I got this book today, read upto page no.- 100, very nice language used in this book, seems like someone is teaching you and this book is organised in a very nice way, it teaches you coding like a Pro.

I love it a lot, i like the "The Missing Manual" series....its simply......AWESOME to begin with.

Go for it if you are a beginner and has a zeal to learn JavaScript, its the best way to learn. Go for it !!!

The title is misleading. It teaches about basic JS, but not much. The advanced topics are covered in JQuery.

Developing in JQuery is quicker, you don't need to worry about browser compatibility, but it still cannot replace JS because JQuery itself is nothing but a JS library. When I ask for a book that promises me to teach JS and JQuery, it should better not be partial to one over another. What I do with the knowledge is my personal concern.

As usual Flipkart keeps it's promise of prompt delivery with good packaging. Well I liked the book most because of the useful content which is very descriptive and to the point.

It was a great book to have with perfect blend of Beginner's and Stylizing sides of Javascript and jQuery.

Though the one part that I didn't find helpful was the fact that if you are looking to make your own jQuery library then this is not of much help as it does not help in understanding how to code the libraries and their basic logics. For that you will need to get some other book. But to make use of the General stuff available to you, you can take this as a guide.

This book just has the content which I wanted, Excellent Product, This book has taught me a lot, Javascript, JQuery, Ajax, JSON etc. I simply love the explanation of every content of this book. Now I can easily build a Super Interactive Website.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS BOOK!

!) A bit Knowledge of HTML.
2) A vast knowledge of CSS (especially floating and positioning)

Don't buy this book, It won't be of any use IF YOU DON'T KNOW (or even heard!) of HTML and CSS.

PERFECT FOR BEGINNERS OF JAVA...

Very nice book. The content and the examples are neat and crystal clear. Excellent book for beginners. I'll appreciate Flipkart for providing me this book.

I think this is the one of the best book in JQuery. The book is full of examples with complete Explanations, how all functions are working. Book contains direct links for web support to download the library files for JQuery & JavaScript. It also contain some ready made example which makes it even more complete.

Pros : Excellent sources and practice content included in the reference material.
Pretty interesting exercises throughout the chapters .
Cons : Only for a beginner ; does not encourage thinking .
