There isn’t much to say about the Soundboost – it’s one of the most obvious smartphone accessories. Smartphone speakers aren’t generally very good, and the more space you have to push air through, the better. This speaker mod snaps on, and the sound is immediately passed to it rather than the Moto Z’s earpiece speaker. It is rather heavy at 115g though and does change the balance of the phone in your hand.

I am a bit of a audiophile myself (a budget one at that). Do have some quality audio hardware like MDR-1000X, TX-RZ800 etc.
The audio out of these is mostly crystal clear unless you are driving them on full blast on a Honey Singh track. I do expect it to crackle on bass/treble heavy tracks as speakers of this profile should not be expected to handle them. Turn down the volume a notch and they sound great.

A must with moto z
Bit costly but worth it. Once attached the phone looks like a tank.
The boost is loud enough to fill a small room. Anything louder, you would need a full fledged speaker set. It provides additional battery backup ~1000maH which is very useful.
