Reeta Dutta Gupta worked as a freelance journalist from the late 1970s to the early 1990s and contributed articles, reviews and interviews to the Times of India, the Hindustan Times and other national papers. She lived in Africa for several years, and her first children's stories set in Africa appeared in two anthologies: The Nose Doctor and Best of Target Stories. She is the author of Rabindranath Tagore - The Poet Sublime, Salim Ali - India's Birdman and Subhas Chandra Bose - The Passionate Patriot.
