They say that love breaks all barriers, and rightfully so. Directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, a brilliant filmmaker who has also made blockbuster films such as Lagaan and Swades, and starring gorgeous actors such as Hrithik Roshan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Sonu Sood, Jodhaa Akbar is an epic historical romantic-drama Hindi film that is set in sixteenth century India. In the movie, Akbar, the mighty Mughal emperor, marries Jodhaa, a Rajput princess, in order to strengthen his alliance with the Rajputs. Jodhaa resents the superficiality of the relationship she shares with her husband and hence Akbar has to now do what he can to win Jodhaa’s heart.
