The Kids Are All Right

..and the parents too.

But before that two confessions.

Though I firmly believe that books make for the best present, I usually gift people a book voucher rather than gifting them a book per se..this as I believe "imposing" my taste in books or what the NYT BestSeller is telling us a particular week, equals a well-meaning aunt steering you towards the trial room "Oh but sweetheart this colour looks so GREAT on you". So, there are very few books that allow me to rethink my cardinal rule "THO...

BORING Story, NO PLOT,SAVE YOURSELF!

The book has no plot at all. Extremely boring after a first few pages. Had to flip through a lot of pages to justify the purchase. Felt, like I could have spent this money on some other book!
Try to browse through this book at some other store before purchasing it online.
Just came across a book from the Author Meghna pant - One and a half wife.will be spending time on this book now!

chota packet bada dhamaka

absolutely loved the book!!

had been following Y on her blog and was really impressed by her writing style and brilliant choice of words to describe otherwise simple n common things. the hallmark of her writing style is clearly evident in her book as well.

didn't feel as if i was reading a book, could visualize the things so vividly as if i was a witness to all the events (some of them nearly earth-shattering #bhookamp)

for me the one take away from the book was the quote by mummyji -ladne...

Just Read...kindly excuse my wanting more!

I really loved the book. It was eloquently written and in way that it was difficult to put down. Had me in giggles in many parts especially the part about K and vijay:)
I could relate to the story as if it was my own story, the part about being myself, settling into a new family and the research on pregnancy and child rearing! The characters were brought out very well that it was almost as if you knew Y and V for a long time now.
The language used looked so simple at first but then I realis...

A must for every newly weds

I really loved the book

I could relate to so much of it..it's a very simple sweet and a light book which refreshes you. Plus it is so humorous and witty at the same time. I finished the book very soon which itself says that it keeps you gripped till the very end. I think girls should like this book more and the romantic ones

Though fiction extremely connective and hillarious

I would like to compliment Yashodhra Lal for writing this book. Though it's fictional but the feelings and experience put out in this book is very realistic and I could really connect with it and visualize all the pre and post marriage experiences!! The book has all the jest, fun, anxiety, tantrums, emotions, tensions and other elements that exist between a couple.

You simply can't put the book down once you start reading it, though it drags a little towards the end. But to maintain the pace...

Simple, funny, and Un-sappy

The movie covers Y's life around her marriage, and the first baby. Young urban couples will relate to a lot of it, and its written in a very simple fun way. Some of the V-Y battles are outright hilarious.

Start the book on a saturday and be done with it by Sunday. You will surely enjoy it...

Fall off your chair funny!

A brilliantly hilarious book - couldn't put it down till I finished the last page. Yashodhara strikes a good balance between humour and emotion; and portrays both the sexes fairly (very tough for a woman to do)! A must-read for anyone who's ever been in a relationship. Highly recommended!
