    Description

Kadambari Devi held a very special place in Rabindranath Tagore’s heart. When she committed suicide at a very young age, nobody had a chance of finding out the reason as the suicide note she left behind had been destroyed. In this book, Ranjan Bandyopadhyay tries telling his readers what was in that note.

    Summary of the Book

Rabindranath Tagore is probably one of the most popular figures in India, whether it is for his incredible literary work or as the man behind the composition of India’s national anthem, Jana Gana Mana. However, there is more to this extraordinary individual. There is much that has been written about his personal life and this book is one that talks about a very important person in his life – Kadambari Devi. She was Rabindranath Tagore’s sister-in-law, but she was a lot more to him when it came to matters of the heart. At 23, Tagore was madly in love with Kadambari who committed suicide when she was just 25 years old. It is said that she left behind a suicide note that had been destroyed. Nobody knew why she took such an extreme step and for what reason. The author, Ranjan Bandyopadhyay, has given his version of what this special lady might have written in the note.

    Another Garbage by Ranjan

    To Mr. Ranjan Banerjee,
This book is an example of garbage.
I must appreciate your energetic and passionate effort to build such a trash! You are a wise man so says the blurb of the book but unfortunately throughout your life you could not manage to go beyond the mere somatic affairs. Its pity that for whole of your life you have written and translated things related to SEX but not a single word of them could be remembered by the us, the readers of Lolita or Anais Nin.
    In this book WITHOUT...

    kadamvari devi's sucide note

AS Bengal loving people we all were celebrating Tagore's 150th birth anniversary since 25th boishak 2011. we were very much with his works, his music, his paintings, novels, short stories and many research works specially writings on his personal life. Just finished the book"KADAMVARI devi's sucide note.A writer ofcourse enjoys the independence of writing but it should'nt be in a way
which misleads the readers.page23,page29,page32,page33 and many more!!!I was asking myself, is it really Ranjan...

    Waste of Money

A horrible book full of sensational bulls**t! Flipkart packaging was as usual perfect and delivery was before expected date. But as far as the product is concerned, in my opinion, no self-respecting Bengali should ever buy/read this trash. I understand the author's inclination towards romanticizing Kadambari Devi's relation with Tagore, but this is no better, in fact worse than any standard Bengali pornographic magazine. At least authors of those are not hypocrites unlike Mr. Banerjee here! T...

    BOOK REVIEW

Please do not read this book thinking of knowing about Tagore the greatest Poet of all time... but you can read it as a adult fiction only.... I must say that Ranjan Bandyopadhyay took a very nuisance rather cheap step to sell his crap. Shame on him that he used Tagore family name to do it... Simply hate this writer and his nuisance

    Great Reading!

Got this book today. It has 120 Pgaes. Finished in one go! I don't know if this is the real Suicide note or not but this is really interesting! I've raised doubt on the originality because the author hasn't given any reference of the source and also the construction of sentences are very much Ranjan Bandyopadhyay. But still, great reading.
