I don’t read books in order to review them – I read for the sheer pleasure of reading, prose and poetry that’s put together with flair and form, with content that makes you turn page after page, and leaving you with a fulfilling yet empty feeling because you’ve reached the end.

Kamadeva, The hindu god of desire is brought into our lives with this excellent novel. I don't think i have ever enjoyed reading a novel in this genre as much as Kamadeva. It was truly a fun read with hilarious dialogues and stunning revelations about some popular characters in Hindu mythology. The style of narration also deserves a special mention as it never lets the reader Stagnate on any particular page.

When i started reading this book i expected it to be a lighthearted read... but Anuja's Kama comes slowly into your mind n then captures u completely :) I couldnt even miss a line of the book. The second half of the book is amazing, the style of writing is full of wit and packed with emotion.I felt overwhelmed reading certain scenes...Her story telling was so brilliant that it was actually like visualising the scenes...I recommend everyone who reads to grab a copy immediately to enjoy the lif...

It is an enchanting read and the conversations are well demonstrated....the author has done a great work...however i will not recommend it to children below 13 years of age.....

In her latest book, Anuja has narrated Kamadeva's life with humor, wit and colour. Kamadeva is a very interesting book. All the characters are well etched out. There is subtle humour at many places which I enjoyed. My favourite characters are Maya and Shambara (even though the latter is an antagonist) . I liked Pradyumna’s part more than Kamadeva’s. Anuja’s extensive and mind blowing research work is evident in every chapter and deserves recognition.

To the pious reader, the initial pages could be offensive as the celestial beings are shown to indulge in excessive sex. The author summarizes the god of desire in one simple sentence “He exuded a deliciously provoking odour of concentrated sex”. The build up was breath taking and soon you are so involved with the book, that you just cannot put it down and it becomes like an obsession. In certain scenes, particularly towards the second half, it was as if you are physically present. She writes as she sees it and there is no attempt to dress up the events.
The Author brings out all your emotions and it was a real coaster ride. I rate this book highly
