Khakee is the ONLY film in the last 10-15 years that has been able to exploit Bachchan's potential in the correct way. Rajkumar Santoshi manages to get Bachchan to lose the french beard, and stay on-screen without any make-up, scarves, glares or wigs (well, almost!) for the entire film. Amitabh plays his age, and his most loved role: a near-retirement cop. Even surrounded by a pack of younger heroes, you can easily spot the fire that made Zanjeer work.
