About the author and other contributors
Life consists of many coincidences: When I took English lessons as an au pair, I became aware of German as a foreign language. After my return to Germany, I studied German as a foreign language, German studies and education at the University of Bielefeld. During my studies I was able to gain my first teaching experience and it was exciting to work with people from so many different cultures and countries. After my studies, I ended up in Madrid, where I worked as a consultant for Langenscheidt and now teach German as a foreign language. Now I work in the ideal combination for me: At the Goethe Institute in Madrid and at the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofia (Musikhochschule Reina Sofia), I teach German as a foreign language in classroom and online format. I also work as a trainer and author at Verlag Ernst Klett Sprachen. I really enjoy making the lessons varied for my learners, focusing on having fun while learning, seeing progress and always feeling included as a person. And in further training and in my work as an author, I can then pass on all the things that I have learned in many years of teaching experience. It gives me great pleasure to focus on having fun while learning, seeing progress and always feeling included as a person.
