This is an excellent start to the Krishna Coriolis series! The whole scheme of events that lead to the birth of Krishna explained in such beautiful prose. Kamasa's character is sketched so well, you can clearly see him for the monster that he is. Ashok K Banker is a great story teller.

After his ground-breaking work on Ramayana, Banker is all set off to give us another fresh pioneering set of books. This first book consists of Kamsa and mainly Kamsa...Which is appreciative...Many things are written about the hero, the villains should also get a chance to show their 'true nature'! And indeed, Kamsa showed is true nature. With hair-raising accounts of encounters and fights, it is a worthy read.
At almost the end of the book, the hero, our very own Krishna makes an entry. And...

I've never known Kamsa as such a creepy character!!!

But can't believe that I have to wait till Book 4 till he dies!!!

The Whole book is basically about Kamsa and even though he is a villain Ashok K Banker has very nicely introduced this evil character to his readers.Ashok K banker is really bringing the Indian mythology come alive.

This is the story of Vasudeva and his his rival Kansa, nicely written not sure about the authenticity about some of the incidents mentioned in this but very entertaining.
