A must read
This is a wonderfully written book and it beautifully portrays the life of six women drawn from six thoroughly different spheres of life. Every gamut of emotion that a women goes through has been beautifully portrayed through the six women especially the protagonist Akhila. Kudos to the author for such a well written book which had me riveted from the very first page.

I totally loved the book...start to finish! I recommend this book for all women. All the characters in the book,were superb. Although it took me a long time to finish..but i thoroughly loved it.

With the stories of six women from different walks of life, different social status and different lifestyles Anita Nair has beautifully spun the novel giving the reader a flight to the varying emotions .
An amazingly well written story which hints that every woman has a story , the mystery is revealed when the time arrives.

Awesome
Its a wonderful study of the lives of the women who meet in a night train. They are strangers and felt free to share their stories.
Most importantly this novel tell you that yes If you are a single Indian woman with a job then you are not dependent on anybody and can live your life as you want. You don't have to listen to anybody on how to live your life!

Well written and deft!
This book is wonderful! It describes the lives of 6 different (Indian) women, in such detail, explaining most of the emotions that a woman is bound to go through. The narration is engrossing and there's the little mystery part in all the chapters that keeps it going.
After reading this book, I've started looking at the women around me with a greater sense of respect, for what they must be enduring in their lives.
